Variety – the Children’s Charity Hong Kong

We believe in “A future without limits for every child.” Children shouldn’t know limits. They should live happy, empowered lives at their full potential. But need and disadvantage sometimes prevent that and make their challenges harder than they could be. We’re here to change that. To tackle such a formidable challenge, we worked with partners, communities and experts to bridge the lack of resources that was disadvantaging these children and youth. We offer increased opportunities and social inclusion to support their health, wellness, independence, self-esteem, achievement and dignity – in short, a desire to transform lives.

We currently run three programmes. The Butterfly Programme provides early mental health assessment and interim medical treatment for children and young adults who cannot afford private health care. There is also the Swallow Caregiver Programme, which supports the caregivers of our Butterfly beneficiaries. The Falcon Programme is an in-depth programme providing personal and career development support for young adults with high-impact mentoring, helping young people aged 16 to 21 dream big, and develop the soft skills they need to make those dreams a reality.
