OUR TEAM
Marc Gaw
Chief Operating Officer
Marc is a Year 12 student from Harrow School UK with a mission to dispel the misconceptions and stigmas surrounding the issue of homelessness and amplify volunteering opportunities for youth to engage in service work. Every small act of kindness can bring about immense change, and he is committed to positively impacting those in need.
In 2024, he founded Shelter Stories, a youth organization rallying students to provide food and support for homeless individuals in Hong Kong. He showcases various perspectives on homelessness through blogs and podcasts by members across 5 continents. In addition, he is an avid member of the food distribution program at London Community Kitchens, helping to prepare and sort ingredients to prepare meals for people experiencing homelessness.
Driven by his passion, he also took the Home Truths, a homelessness curriculum aimed at youth. The curriculum will become a part of PSHE Education lessons at Harrow and has been taken up by established charities such as Shelter and Emmaus to be used on their school visits around the UK. At school, Marc also connects with the youth through a tutoring program for children between 11-18. He hopes to bring about new volunteering opportunities for everyone to make a positive, lasting impact on society.
